In an exciting new addition to Altrincham, Kathmandu Kitchen has opened at 24-26 Ashley Road, offering quality, authentic and contemporary Nepalese cuisine.
Brought to the town by Cheshire Restauranteur Dinesh Maharjan alongside award-winning Executive Chefs Shree Ram Maharjan & Bina Maharjan, Kathmandu Kitchen say "Our new suburb postcode will provide a sleek and sophisticated setting that will allow guests to explore new-age Nepalese cuisine at its finest, blending traditional home cooking, which has been passed down through centuries, with a refreshing splash of modern-day culinary precision and visage. When it comes to Nepalese restaurants our ethos is to shy away from the take-away culture and instead capture the true essence of fine dining".
The team promise to offer something truly different and menu highlights include DAL-BHAT-TARKARI, which literally translates as lentils, rice & seasonal veg - served with home-made pickles & curry - a staple of Nepalese cuisine. The menu also boasts heavenly MO:MO's - Nepalese dumplings stuffed with minced chicken with Nepalese aromatic herbs & spices served with sesame & tomato chutney. Each dish can be perfectly paired with Kathmandu beer and a range of Wine & spirits.
Chef Bina added: "We are excited to bring a true taste of Nepal to Altrincham and take guests on a cultural journey that will broaden their culinary horizons".

"I came on the first day and it was very nice, for the price you get more than enough food, the service was very good. The menu was easy to follow and they change things if wanted. The guide to the spice level was very helpful and there were a lot of drinks, soft and alcoholic."

"Great flavoursome curry !"
"This restaurant has only been open a week or so but we hope it goes on to do well.
Two of us shared pappadums two starters and two mains. All were excellent. Highlights being the sherpa lamb curry and the fish curry both full of flavour and spiced just right. Service was unintrusive and efficient. Highly recommended."

"Recently visited with family and will definitely return! The food was brilliant but the service was even better! Really attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. I found the starters were really tasty, just slightly larger portions than necessary. Really reasonable price too. I hope this place does well."
